i went to las vegas the past weekend…on 8/8/8

shit was a crazy trip

phil made a stop by the office and we went through some creative storms and some operation work a project we are working aka [ INTERNATIONAL SECRET AGENTS ] this should be pretty crazy

The next day me and phil head down to a charity basketball tournament in arcadia, show face…and drop off some tickets for the ISA SHOWCASE that i hope everybody is going to.

BUYYY YOU A DRANK!! - TPAIN

This is just something I’ve noticed…One of my Rants

Scenario : LASVEGAS LAX.
Situation : A group of my friends (I will not say who) headed into this nightclub around 1030 and me and my friends headed off to gamble.  Around 12:30 we recieved a call saying that they were drunk and wanted to hang out.  I was flabbergasted at how fast they were drunk.  We met up and I asked them how they get drunk so fast.  They replied, “Blah flirted w/ some guys and he invited us back to their table”  I was thinking damn…thats insane.  Thats crazy!

So i asked a few of my friends that are girls if they did this when they’re single and on the prowl, and they replied that it was very common.

I think to myself this is horrible!  There are girls out there that actually head out to clubs w/ probably 4 bucks in their purses, expecting to get drinks for free, where us guys have to shovel out our hard earned bucks for a drink that is probably worth a buck and pay 13 bucks for it.

I am one of the few guys who is strong against this because.
A. I’m not that stupid
B. I’m a B.o.B (baller on budget)

lol

I mean its not even w/ bars but w/ house parties and what not, guys are usually the one purchasing the alchohal.

So breaking shit down…
A girl dresses up super hot, to go out to possibly get with a cute guy that will buy her drinks….(I fail to see how this is vastly different from prostitution) The thing is..i see this shit all the time, from working at the clubs.

FRANCE REPORT!

sooooo finally got the chance to blog about my france adventure.  France was crazy.  Reason for going was to see the boys WONGFU.  I’m hella proud of them and where they’re going.  This will be big things happening for them.  So much going on!

So me and kev and jae flew out from LAX to PHILLY then to LONDON anden to NICE,FRANCE.

JAMES & VIRMAN would leave a little later, because Virman had prior engagement and JAMES was graduating from LOYOLA LAW (congrats bro!)

Welcome to CANNES!!!

When we got there we got to relax a little bit, and then headed out for the show at the CENTURY CLUB in CANNES.. THE CENTURY CLUB is located in LONDON, (this is what i think) they rent out a portion of the beach, and set up shop and setup CENTURY CANNES! which is hella cool because you are like litereally a couple feet away from the beach!

it was overall a good night. FM performed a 15-20 minute set, and really rocked the crowd.  It was kinda scary for a moment because the demographic was kind of different, but i truly believe that GOOD PERFORMERS can rock any CROWD, and if you haven’t caught a FM performance you are definitely missing out! (Btw shout outs to JUDE LAW & GEORGE CLOONEY for getting up out of their seats and checking out the show)

Cannes is wonderful @ night!!!

So we went back and everybody crashed out, except for a couple of us nightcrawlers who pretty much stayed up all night and all morning just talking about life and the crazyness of this industry that we work in.

Next morning Jae, James & I decide to walk through CANNES…and just bask in the film festival…

I sat on a plane next to terrorist…

Eye catching title right??? Its a bit exaggerated, but not far from the truth. I’ve just returned from a very short trip back from the South of France for the Cannes Film Festival. This trip I will definitely blog later, for now. a short story about the end of my trip. Just to update, I’ve returned fatigued like no other.

So from Nice, France,  Wesley & Debbie dropped us off at the airport to grab our flight to London. We took EasyJet Airlines aka Refugee airlines aka the Southwest Airlines of France except ghettoer. They charged me for water on the plane when I was coming into France. So, on this trip, I had barely slept, and decided to do all my sleeping on the planes, and pretty much knocked out to my Khalil Fong playlist on my brothers Ipod. I woke up w/ this unbelievable thirst and craving for food. When we got off in London, I told Kevin & Jae (my travel partners from FM) that I would be real quick and would meet them at the next terminal for our next flight from London to Philly.

I whisked my way to a currency exchange where the guy blatantly ripped my ass off.
Scene : London Airport.
Tom : Hi! heres 20bucks, can i just ask how much pounds would i get if I was to exchange this?
Londouche guy : <click clack click clack> it would be around 9.15 pounds because we take away 3pounds as a service fee…
Tom : (damn thats a lot) hm……welll…thats okay then….(i’m saying it in a tone, that I don’t want it)
Londouche guy : <click clack> here we go…
Tom : uhhhhh i didn’t want to exchange it
Londouche : too late…here we go…
Tom : motherfucker….<under my breath>

So thats just part of it…I run to mickeydees, and get my food run to the terminal. So as I walk into the terminal I see 3 guys & a girl getting searched and getting their stuff checked. Now they didn’t look islamic? or middle eastern or anything. They looked like Akon & Akons brothers & Sister. As I walked by I didn’t think much of it to be honest, because I thought thats kind of messed up…”racial profiling”

As we board the plane I had realized that Kev & Jae would be sitting together and I was by myself like 10 rows a head. So Picture this was the seating chart. I was in 22C…and 22B & A were empty..So was 23ABC.

Thats how it looked like. Well then comes Akon & Family boarding the plane, and they sit next to me. I didn’t think much of it at first. Once again I’m a very like whatevs about the situation, till the captain comes to us. The captain ask the guys for their tickets. Now I see in his hand, that theres a ticket stub, but the captain wanted the Etickets, but they don’t have it. So the captain leaves and gets another guy. Once again same questions, and Akon (the leader) couldn’t speak english and just gave the captain the Itinerary they had. So this time the Captain makes all of them get off the plane.

At this point, I”m thinking “cool…i have my own row”

But nope another dude comes aboard w/ a CTU vest or something and a badge that says CRIMESTOPPERS and ask if he can inspect my row. He starts tearing through the seats and looking through all the crevices and what not to see if there was anything suspicious. At this point I was kind of freaked out.

Me : I don’t want to sound weird or anything but should I be worried that I’m sitting there.
Stewardess: No no, this is to make you feel safe.
Me : eh…this doesn’t make me feel too safe.

After a 15 minute thorough search, I was informed that I could sit at my seat. Then 5 minutes later Akon’s Sister come back and the stewardess said she could sit anywhere she wanted…(So you’re thinking she sits in the row behind me right?) Nope! She decides to sit RIGHT NEXT TO ME. not even like WIndow Seat next to me…MIddle Seat next to me. (Thats like calling the middle seat when theres only 2 people riding in the backseat. ) I’m so thrown off by this, even the stewardess suggest that she could have her own row, but nope, she decides to sit right next to me.

So thats my exciting trip back.

I’ve been very much fatigued since I’ve been back. I’m trying to rest up. for anybody going to Vegas Memorial Weekend, I’ll be there!

641Am in the morning sitting at my work desk listening to Weezy F. Baby. I just got home from a hazy night at Danny Tea’s pad. The night was filled with canabis, tecate beer (-_-), regular beer, LATE NiGHT PIZZA RUN and of course a devasting lost in Utah. I’m writing this blog, because I realized that I’ve been not showing any love for this blog, so i need to keep it up.

Yesterday I headed to riverside with Royce & C.Mao. We caught up and talked about life, our trials & tribulations and the status of our lives and our other pledgebros. The drive there was mad quick. We were heading out to Riverside for a couple occassions. To celebrate Minur Huynh’s Birthday, and to also continue the celebration of Gary Park returning from IRAQ serving his 2nd tour in IRAQ.

ANOTHER YEAR OLDER :(

My wrap up post about my birthday. For all of you facebookless/myspaceless (or people who never realized that the 422 behind xanga.com/tomngo422 is actually the date of my birthday) it was my birthday this past tuesday (422). Now let me breakdown my birthday situation. I’ve never really been a big birthday person, just because I can’t remember the last time I had a birthday party. Like i seriously don’t think I’ve ever had one (Yes, even as a child….wait actually was there one?) There was one year that actually nobody remembered my birthday, I didn’t get a happy birthday till probably like the day after (this was my 18th birthday by the way.) So how was this years birthday?

Definitely the best birthday hands down.

So on tuesday, my kind brother lent me his car and i went to pick up Shannon. I decided that I wanted to pay a visit to Disney because I missed it. So drove to westwood and picked her up and she had a gift for me! For the past month she’s been hassling me about what gift she should get me (especially since my phone is broken and i lost my digicam she got me 3 christmas ago). I pretty much told her that I wanted something that SHE MADE and that wasn’t SUPER expensive, cuz im hood like that.

So she made these!

for all of you non-disneyers thats SPLASH MOUNTAIN. Although I’ve went 291083092 times to disney. I rarely ride this ride, cuz the lines are ALWAYS long. We got fast passes, and it was fast.

after all the rides, we went to eat at the RESTAURANT me and SHANNON have been waiting for ages to eat at. THE BLUE BAYOU. Whenever we try to eat there, they never let us cuz we don’t have reservations! This time she made reservations for 730. and dude I was super excited. (The Blue Bayou is this really bougie restaurant that is located INSIDE of the PIRATES of CARIBBEAN Ride. Yup, when you are on the ride, you actually seeee people eating. Its really friggin cool!

this was our delicious MEAL! from top to bottom. We had the TASTIEST GUMBO soup ever. I ordered some super special crab legs that was fuckin delicious…and shannon had the short ribs, that was bombaY! For dessert they gave me this cakish looking thing, that we did not finish.

It pretty much looked like we were in the backyard of some louisana manor. Reminded me of Leo Dicaprios wedding in Catch me if you can.

After that Shannon and I left Disney (Thanks FELIX for the hook up!) and we went to catch “FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL” This movie was awesome. Overall BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

To be honest, just having this day could have been perfect, but

Friday my pledgebros picked me up and took me out to eat at one of the best KOREAN BBQ places i’ve ever eaten at (I’ve eaten at a good amount of places). I was pretty much intoxicated from the very first minute i got picked up so that could also play a factor in me calling this the best korean bbq place ever.

Definitely dope to be out w/ all pledgebros. Pretty much everyone came out (the ones that could, Ryans in Shanghai!)

after that we went to chill over at Maks pad in Irvine and drank/smoked my brains out playing beerpong and guitar hero & smash with all the pbros and even YOHEY came thru. The night was pretty hazy, in fact I just remembered right now that Yohey came. ahahaha. Keep it real though, It was a great night! I would not have it any other way then how it went down last friday. THANK YOU GUYS!

PLUS! Sunday Night, I’m a family man, sooooo My parents took me and my brothers out for a nice family dinner. Definitely needed some family time, and it was great just catching up w/ my parents and talking and just had a great dinner.

So, just finishing up the post!
Thanks to my girlfriend, my fam and all of my pledgebros + pledge dad for celebrating my birthday with me. Definitely hands down the best birthday I’ve had. I know like all that Super Sweet Sixteen shit blows my birthdays out of the waters, but to me I really think its all about the thought, like ferreals yknow?  I hope people realize, i really do mean this ahhaa cuz if you look at my past birthday entries on my xanga…kinda
